The School District of Reedsburg has a seven-member board of education, and members are elected to a three-year term of office. Each member represents a specific geographic or apportioned area as follows:
- Three members represent the City of Reedsburg.
- One member represents Area 1 (the area south of Hwy. 33 and west of Hwy. 23).
- One member represents Area II (the area north of Hwy. 33).
- One member represents Area III (the area east of Hwy. 23 and south of 33).
- One member represents Rural At Large (from any part of Area I, II, or III).
Regular and Special Meetings
The School District of Reedsburg Board of Education meets on the third Monday of each month, and special meetings are scheduled as needed. Meetings are held at the Central Office, 501 K St., Reedsburg, unless otherwise noted. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend all meetings that are held in open session. Time is allotted at every regular meeting for district citizens to make public comments regarding school district issues and concerns.

Committee meetings are called as needed, and the public is welcome to attend any or all meetings. District committees include:

Annual Meeting
The District Annual Meeting is held on the third Monday in July at 8 p.m. at the Central Office. This is a meeting of the electorate, and agenda items include establishing of Board member salaries and approval of the current year budget and tax levy.
