The School District of Reedsburg offers an after-school program for children, grades 4K-5, from 3:00 to 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday at our Community Learning Center (CLC). The CLC is located in Pineview Elementary School, 1121 8th Street, Reedsburg.
Our maximum capacity is 135 students, and we try to keep an even balance of students by grade. Priority placement is given to Pineview Elementary students because of grant funding. There is some space available for students from other schools.
Goals
Our goal is to enhance each student’s academic, behavioral, social, and emotional skills through fun activities like games, physical recreation, computer lab, art, music, drama, cooking, science, outdoor education, and foreign language.
Our teachers, youth coaches, and tutors work with students to:
- Build engagement in school
- Improve grades
- Increase interest and ability in reading
- Enhance homework quality
- Grow aspirations for the future
We also find that participation in our after-school program helps:
- Create positive relationships with adults and peers
- Improve behavior in school
- Raise self-confidence
- Develop new interests and skills
