Last Updated April 8, 2021 - Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Linda Bruun, has been awarded the Outstanding Administrator Award by the Wisconsin Title 1 Association. The award, given out annually, is to honor a Wisconsin administrator who demonstrates leadership in the Title 1 program in their school or district.

She has held several positions not only within a school district but also serving the local community and the state of Wisconsin. In Linda’s current role with the School District of Reedsburg, she ensures that high-quality instruction is implemented and teachers have the necessary resources to deliver effective instruction to meet the needs of students.

Amy Treptow, Reading Interventionist presenting the Outstanding Administrator Award to Linda Bruun, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment.
“Linda Bruun is an administrator that always goes above and beyond her job description in order to make a difference. Her dedication and passion for literacy and Title I are nothing short of deserving of this award,” shares nominator Amy Treptow, Reading Interventionist.
Dr. Clair Fedderly, Instructional Coach shares, “Linda provides leadership that reflects current research and practice in Title 1 programs. She volunteers her time and teaches a 316 program for the staff, and as her co-teacher I can deeply attest to the fact that she reads new research often. Linda embodies the servant leadership that is required to successfully run Title I effectively in schools.”
“For me personally, Linda has been a role model and a mentor as I work towards my 316 reading license. A license I am acquiring through Viterbo that she is the co-instructor of during after-school hours for a cohort of area teachers,” says Stacy Stecker, 2nd Grade Teacher. “While she has made a big impact on our district and those around us her reach is far beyond the School District of Reedsburg.”
According to District Administrator Tom Benson, “In Linda’s work with teachers, students, families, and the community, her advocacy for those things supporting and promoting literacy is profound. That advocacy serves as a model for others and has influenced many of our administrators and teachers to similarly serve as Title I ambassadors.”
The Wisconsin Title 1 Association is a group of Wisconsin educators committed to promoting and enhancing Title 1 programs throughout the state.

District Administrator Selected
Last Updated February 26, 2021 - The School District of Reedsburg is pleased to announce the hiring of Dr. Roger Rindo as the next District Administrator effective July 1, 2021.
Roger is currently the superintendent in the Oconomowoc Area School District. He began his career as an English teacher before beginning his work in administration at Wausau East High School. He also served as Director of Secondary Education in the Wausau School District and Superintendent in the School District of Tomahawk prior to his time in Oconomowoc. Roger did his undergraduate work at Carroll College and his graduate work at UW-Madison and Madison Edgewood. He has three grown children and two children in college.
On becoming the new superintendent in Reedsburg, Dr. Rindo stated, “I am excited and proud to be joining the School District of Reedsburg. As school districts and communities go, it is the absolute sweet spot—large enough to offer high-quality, comprehensive programs for kids, yet small enough to enjoy all the best things that small towns represent in American life. You don’t have to be a big district to think big and provide incredible opportunities for kids and the community. I have witnessed that thinking in my short time in Reedsburg, and I look forward to building on that together with the school board, administration, staff, and the community.”
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Rindo to the Reedsburg community.
Last Updated April 12, 2021 - The School District of Reedsburg has created a COVID-19 Data Dashboard to provide our families with information on the state of the COVID-19 virus in our district and how this data impacts decision-making for classroom/school closures.
The district will update the number of confirmed cases, recovered cases, and active cases in the district, as well as the number of students and staff who are currently absent from school with COVID-like symptoms or quarantined due to possible exposure. This information will be updated weekly on Mondays unless there is a drastic change in which case the district will notify families via a Skylert message.
Since the beginning of the school year, the district has implemented the CDC recommended protocols for positive COVID-19 cases in schools. Our school district nursing staff are working in collaboration with the Sauk County Health Department when a positive case of COVID-19 occurs within our district.
If your child exhibits any symptoms of COVID-19, we ask that you keep him/her home and seek the advice of your medical provider immediately. Some symptoms of COVID-19 may include fever, new cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, or loss of taste or smell. Symptoms typically start to appear 2-14 days after exposure. If your child doesn't have symptoms and you want them tested, you can access testing through Sauk County FREE COVID-19 test sites.
Last Updated February 21, 2021 - The School District of Reedsburg continues to closely monitor the developments related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in our schools and in Sauk County and wants to provide you with any important updates.
