The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) is a rigorous, national assessment that measures the critical reading, mathematics, and writing skills for junior students and high achieving sophomores for higher education and careers after high school. In addition, students who take the PSAT/NMSQT are automatically screened for the National Merit® Scholarship Program; juniors usually meet the entry requirements. The exam is typically offered to juniors in mid-October at RAHS.
- Date: October 14, 2020
- The student is responsible for transportation to and from the test site since district busing will not be provided.
- Time: 8 a.m. (it lasts approximately 3 hours plus time for instructions and breaks)
- Location: RAHS LGI Classroom #212
- Cost: approximately $17 (checks payable to "RAHS" or provide exact change to RAHS Counseling Staff)
- Interested juniors pre-register in the RAHS Counseling Office beginning in mid-September. A limited number of tests are typically available.
- Scores: Ms. Imhoff emailed students in mid-January about how to obtain their October PSAT test results.
