February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month!
CTE offers a valuable pathway for students to acquire the specific skills, knowledge, and practical experience necessary for success in a wide range of careers and technical fields. These programs emphasize hands-on, experiential learning, providing students with opportunities to apply their classroom knowledge in real-world settings. For students with defined career interests, CTE offers a focused approach to gaining relevant training and experience.
RAHS is proud to offer numerous CTE courses including areas such as Automotive, Engineering, Early Childhood Education, Construction, Business, Education, Healthcare, Metals/Welding, Computer, Culinary, and more. By making CTE an integral component of every student's education, we are ensuring that they graduate not only with a diploma but also with the competitive edge required for immediate employment, post-secondary education, and successful lives as positive, contributing members of society. With CTE, our students are empowered to maximize their potential.
During February, the School District of Reedsburg is celebrating our students involved in Youth Apprenticeships who are gaining real-world skills, hands-on experience, and getting a head start on their future careers. From trades and agriculture, to healthcare, business, engineering and beyond, CTE programs prepare students for success.
A special shoutout to all of our CTE teachers, youth apprentices, and the local businesses they are working for.
